The Beamers are a fun Austin variety party band consisting of 5 energetic musicians whose mission is to provide the best memorable music experience for any type of private party. With a repertoire stretching from the 40’s through today, The Beamers cover all the bases and all the styles. Established in 1991, The Beamers are available for booking at Wedding receptions, Corporate Parties, Holiday Parties,  Fraternity/Sorority dances, debutante balls, High School Proms, barmitzvahs, birthdays, conventions, and just about any sort of private party you have in mind.  Thirteen years of successful experience and professionalism in Wedding Receptions/parties, has put The Beamers at the top of the Austin variety party band arena.

Members of The Beamers include featured vocalist Colleen Schoonmaker,Timmy Campbell on vocals and drums, Brian Wier on vocals and guitar, Sam Sheeler on vocals and bass guitar, and James Salas on keyboards, guitar, and vocals. Tom Robinson on tenor saxophone also appears with The Beamers at special request.

 The Beamers started out as the house band at Vincent’s on the Lake during the spring and summers of ‘91, ‘92, and ‘93 on Lake Travis.  The Beamers were also the house band at Club Max in the Red Lion Hotel Austin from Dec. ‘92 - March ‘93 and The Beamers hosted The Volente Beach Club on Lake Travis during the summer of ‘94.  The Beamers have also been the house band at Sam Hill’s Waterfront Grill on Lake Travis for the Spring and Summers of ‘95, ‘96, ‘97,‘98, and '99.  The Beamers have done the Bill & Lee New Year’s Eve Gala at the Double Tree Hotel for ‘93, ‘94, ‘95 , and ’96. New Year's Eve of '97 & '98 were spent with The Balcones Country Club in North Austin. New Year's Eve '99 was in Dallas at the Wyndham/Anatole for the Texas Longhorn Association, New Year's Eve 2000 was at the Oklahoma City Country Club, New Year's Eve 2002 was at the Hyatt Regency Austin with the Austin Social Scene, and New Year's Eve 2003 was at the Double Tree Hotel also with the Austin Social Scene. It was a real blast and great fun. The Beamers also hosted the Austin Endowment Society’s annual Halloween Bash for ‘94, ‘95, ‘96, and ‘97.  The Beamers have also performed for the Austin Cannibals Society parties throughout the years. The Beamers have performed at numerous clubs in the Austin area including the following clubs in the 6th Street district such as Fat Tuesday’s, Tropical Isle, Copper Tank, The Iron Cactus Downtown and North at the Gateway Center, Maggie Maes, The Spot, Big Dave's Dam Saloon, The Nutty Brown Cafe, Dan McKlusky's, and Boomerz in South Austin.  

The Beamers also travel around the state and have performed in Oklahoma City, Dallas-Ft. Worth, San Antonio, Bryan-College Station, Kerrville, Corpus Christi, San Angelo, Houston, Alice, Lake Jackson, Marble Falls, Denison, Laredo, Ft. Hood, Round Rock, Georgetown, McAllen, Pflugerville, New Braunfels, and Waco.

The Beamers are a professional party variety dance band that comes fully equipped with all their own in-house professional sound reinforcement and lighting.
